nonn

Ive had the pleasure to make like minded friends on the net and not to long ago i met a guy whos work i really like, we have a lot of common interest and he also has a thing for documenting his work just like i do.

Anyway back to the point of this post, So Rick has this stonaphone that he plays in a lot of his videos and he produces such lovely tones on the thing so i decided to ask him to make some sounds in a video for me to mess with.

Here is a link to his youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/ReturnToSound

Below is the clip he made for me:

What i did was take the sounds and put them into ableton live, i placed the clip into three different chains running a generative process, two were a single chain of the same process just at different focal points and the other was different generative setup built in three parts.

Below is a little clip as i process the sounds.

Here is a full audio version of what i did with the sounds.

Ha! That's awesome. It sounds completely transformed, yet the timbre and overtones of the stonaphone seem to factor in. I dig it. Thanks a lot for this. Made my night. You definitely did the lion's share of the work too : )
