American Robin Bird Watching

Yesterday i sat up a canon 500d in the window with a 75-300mm lens and started looking for a good spot where birds kept coming to and the spot above in the video just happened to work. There is about 3 different birds throughout the video all of which are American Robins.

Field Recording - Song Sparrow & Other Birds

The past few mornings it has been so foggy out you can hardly see in front of you and this morning was no different, i love recording in the morning as its so calm out and yet if you pay attention and listen there is so much going on. In the picture below you will hear and see a song sparrow along with other birds.

bought some new birding books

I was at barns and noble the other day looking through some things and i found some good birding books i thought i would share, one being a quick reference guide to south carolina birds and the other a book by Kenn Kaufman which is a field guide to north american birds.

Im hoping these books will come in handy on a trip me and some friends will be taking in a few weeks to the Francis Beidler Forest Audubon Center/Sanctuary, the main reason i plan to go is to do a lot of field recording work but i will also have some cameras along with me to capture the trip so be sure to check back here for that.
