exploring saluda dam rail bridge

So i pass this rail bridge on my ways to storms house every time and i have wanted to go across it ever since i saw it despite my fear of heights.

Heres a little clip of me walking on the bridge (the audio is a little windy)

I decided to pull out my h4 and do some recording of the ice melting off the bridge and the sounds happening around be it the traffic or the sound coming from the dam.

I was walking under the bridge and came across some tie nails and thought of a experiment my friend did, so i decided to gather a few to mess with and see what i could do with them.

On my way home from work, I decided to stop at a bridge that I had seen some guys parked near to do some fishing. So, I decided to give it a go and got my little shoulder bag and headed off.

Here is a recording taken using a mic made out of a speaker held to the ceiling under the bridge, i recorded cars as then came onto the bridge.

and here is a video of a car passing over.

While recording under a bridge in foxwood hills on lake hartwell yesterday i decided to take some footage that i planned to edit but i feel like theres not much of a point but i still wanted to upload them so here the two clips are in the first one you will see part of my recording setup for this stop, to hear the audio i did this day you can go to the link below.

Improv under lake hartwell bridge

Above is a little improv i did under a bridge on lake hartwell in foxwood hills, i used some rocks and a shell with a stick as well as having a contact mic running to the steel support beam of the bridge to pick up the vibrations when cars would drive over, in the recording you will also hear a boat drive by me under the bridge.
