This is something i setup  and started before we went downstairs to eat this morning and i let the audio record out throughout the whole time we ate. I started by recording a sample using a mxl 991 condenser mic and a home made contact mic together, i then placed that sample into my setup and set the generative chain to play through the sends only and recorded the master.Below you will find a video and the full 25 minute recording.

footage taken while recording bridge movements made by cars

While recording under a bridge in foxwood hills on lake hartwell yesterday i decided to take some footage that i planned to edit but i feel like theres not much of a point but i still wanted to upload them so here the two clips are in the first one you will see part of my recording setup for this stop, to hear the audio i did this day you can go to the link below.

Improv under lake hartwell bridge

Above is a little improv i did under a bridge on lake hartwell in foxwood hills, i used some rocks and a shell with a stick as well as having a contact mic running to the steel support beam of the bridge to pick up the vibrations when cars would drive over, in the recording you will also hear a boat drive by me under the bridge.

Toy Piano + Contact Mic + Generative Processing

For this setup Ive placed a contact mic on the bolt that holds the sound board in place so that it picks up the sound really well, ive then added a live channel to my setup in ableton and six sends to go with it, along side that i have two generative channels which are processing sounds of the piano, in the full version i plan to use live i hope to have around four to six gen chains running. The nocturn is just controlling volume of the generative channels.

Making Sound w/ Pintech Snare

Joe has this electronic drum set by Pintech, i decided to do a little experiment with the snare this morning by running it through my ableton set up. Check out the outcome below.

So as i said in the last acoustic guitar blog that i was going to try to do a better one when i went to the city and i ended up making something interesting using joes guitar and my contact mic with my generative setup.

I used the dust breeding plugin in this experiment i really like how it sounds with stringed instruments.

Ableton Live + Piezo + Salt

The idea of this experiment was to make textures using salt, i attached a home made contact mic on the bottom of the container and ran it into my interface and into ableton i then controlled the effects on the o2 as i poured the salt.
