nnnl

With seeing the release of the new nanoloop app for iphone it inspired me to pull my dmg and gameboy version 1.3 out and mess around with it some more, i samples some stuff from it and put it into six generative chains in ableton.

drum loop made in nanoloop 1.3 ran through 6 sends

This is just a simple drum loop made in nanoloop 1.3 being ran on a dmg and being run through 6 different sends filled with effects, i used alot of drum slicing effects and some synth ones as well.

monome/mlr/gameboy/lsdj/drones/synplant

This was just another little experiment using, monome, and gameboy, the gameboy is running lsdj and the monome is running mlr which is playing back some drones made with the gameboy, there is also generative chains in ableton playing synplant.

Experimental Improv w/ Nanoloop + Boss ME-50

In this improv i am using nanoloop on a pro sound modified gameboy color and once again my friend joseph is manipulating my work through a boss ME-50 effects unit. This improv is all over the place but for the most part it tunred out interesting compared to what it normally sounds like.

Haze

Haze is a track that i made using LSDJ for the gameboy and a new version of my generative processing setup in ableton live. I am only using one pulse channel in lsdj and one generative chain in ableton.

If you are interested in hearing a full length version of what you heard in the video above you can use the player below, you can also download the track as well.

Track for dark chip comp titled "Night Stalkers"

I made a track for this dark 8bit compilation that is being made over at 8bc, the comp was set into motion by the amazing Amiga Agia. I decided to make a track for this one because ive never submited to a comp b4 and it was a theme i liked as most of my chip stuff is dark because of the way i process everything.

For the track i used a pro sound moded gameboy color, lsdj, nanoloop and a gameboy camera, as well as ableton live, some clips of my work can be seen below.

The track is titled "2R2C/6" because im processing all the sound through 2 rows of 2 chains of 3 so 6 chains in all, i know its not the most inventive name but it made more sense then making something up.

here you can stream the track, ill post the comp download link in a update at the bottom when its released.
