as night and fog collide

This is one of the first weeks I have started where I am awake, I am always so tired, work went smoothly for the most part, the sky looked so lovely throughout the night and as it got darker the fog got thicker.

I decided to set my camera on a tote to record out on the back pad while I worked some outside, at one point you hear some stuff fall over i was going to cut it off there but decided to just leave it the way it was.

big propane tank + mallets + outside

So i was taking out my grandmas trash tonight before i left to go to the radio station and i seen that she had a rather big propane tank so i figured i would get my mallets and recorder out and give it a few hits before i left, id like to go back and try it out with contact mics im sure it would sound a whole lot better.

outside improv using generative setup with guitar

This is just a little improv test i did trying to get a feel for the new setup and see how it will work in a live enviorment. I like how well it handeled working outside with all the extra noise it did not seem to affect it to much.

Rocks + Generative Processing Test

Here is another test using rocks in various ways to produce sound to be processed. Im working on this for a setup im doing to that will use only organic sound sources.

Outside Improv w/ Pss7, Sticks & Rocks

So it was really lovely outside today and i was working on some ideas for a setup that could be verry adaptable for when i perform live, so since it was nice out i figured i would go try out my idea ouside insted of my studio.

i tend to record a lot of things and then forget to save or document them so i decided to pull out my camera for this. In the the video below the sound was constructed using, My macbook running ableton live, a handfull of rocks and some branches, a audio-technica drum mic, and a yamaha pss-7. I like using the kids keyboards, im thinking of getting a little kids acoustic piano.
