Last night while we were all colabing together i gave frank the sounds i recorded at the Newry Mill a few hours prior to the colab and he started to mess with them inside reaktor. The sample he is mainly using is of me playing with tumblers on a electrical box in the mills furnace room and the other sample is from me spinning a metal wheel on a door (the sounds from that are used more in the second piece).

Here are the two pieces, i have not edited them anyway just uploaded the stems as frank gave them to me after he got done processing, im really happy working with people like this as i get real enjoyment out of doing the recording aspect but its also nice to hear what someone else can do on top of your vision.

I went out and bought a nikon d3000 today and im liking it so far, but that aside i made a little sound clip while messing around with a idea for this new release, it is a recording of  2 clips being processed together one being sound from a waterfall and the other taken from a parking lot. <a href="http://seeyouinsleep.bandcamp.com/track/plwf">plwf by seeyouinsleep</a>

bowed santoor + contact mic / processed

I had to make a new conact mic due to messing up my other one becuase i built it so poorly this was is made using half of a old guitar cable so its alot better than the other one which was just this wires to a jack.

For the test i did with it i decided to put it on the end of a santoor i have and bow it with my violin bow, the sound was then ran into ableton live and ran through 6 different sends which had various groups of effects. You can see a video of the test below.

Aphex Twin - Come To Daddy Remix

I wanted to do a Aphex Twin remix for some time but was never sure what approach i wanted to take, today i decided to give a go at a remix of "come to daddy" but i wanted to do it very different from the feel of the original by keeping it somewhat chill yet at the same time disturbing, i decided to process different parts of the track through a generative set up i made today for this remix.

If you can when listening to the piece wear good quality headphones.

The video for come to daddy (released in October 1997) was directed by Chris Cunningham, i have not changed anything in the video besides adding "aphex twin - come to daddy remix - seeyouinsleep" at the end.
