hydrophone + mason jar/water + toy piano + ableton/reverb/beat-slicer
Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 8:20PM this was a little experiment i had thought of awhile back when i was going to buy a hydrophone the idea was to hang a hydrophone down from the ceiling into a container of water that was placed on top of a piano, the vibrations of the piano would then vibrate the jar/water and then go to the hydrophone.
I took that same concept and ran it into ableton live i then ran the sound through 3 sends each with a different style of reverb, and the 3rd was ran through a beat slicer before the reverb.
after looking over it i wanted to make a note about this,
in this experiment all the sound is not coming from the water as the cord is touching the glass and that will vibrate the mic so keep that in mind i will be doing another test where the sound is coming from just the water.
